Bob and John were two of the philospher and authors interviewed in the widely seen documentary movie "The Secret". Their appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show was part of the promotional movie tour.

Surely I'm not the only one that recognizes "Laws of Attraction" as an old Junjian concept, and nothing new. These principles have been implemented in psychology even in the 60's when I was in theropy.

This is not new at all.
These people are re-hashing almost word for word the concepts in the books Think and Grow Rich and The Science of Getting Rich, which were published in the early 1900's.
The concepts are actually much older than that...
I do like that fact that they are doing a great job of bringing these concepts into the mainstream.
This could greatly improve things for the average Joe (and Jane) on the street...
I say more power to them!

PUBLIC NOTICE
Hello and blessings from Australia,
I am writing to you in concern of the authenticity of R. Byrne's work "The Secret".
My name is Vanessa Bonnette and I am an author from Australia who wrote a book in 2002 entitled "Empowered for the New Era" which I published in 2003.
I now have overwhelming evidence that suggests a breach of copyright of my book by Byrne to make "The Secret". Byrne claims to have "stumbled across a book that changed her life and revealed secrets she wanted to share with the world".
In 2005 my book was sent to Channel 9 TV in Australia for promotions and advertising - this is where Byrne has worked and still has many associates. I did not hear back, nor was my book returned to me.
In recently seeing "The Secret" on TV I immediately recognised my work. For, as any author would know - a book is a part of you - a creation, like giving birth to a child, and if you see or hear your own child - you immediately recognise it... I immediately began investigating.
So far, I have discovered that there are many inconsistencies with Byrnes stories and interviews about how the project came about and its timing. In some interviews it's 2004, others 2005. In some she states her daughter gave her a book and in others she states she "stumbled across a book". Byrne also claims in some interviews to have read 100's of books, listened to tapes and scowered the internet and in other interviews states there is only one book. Could a person make a film, and do all of those things (as she claims) in less than 12 months?
Is it just me, or is something not right here?
Why did Byrne go to America for the project when she claimed to have such a thriving business here? I believe the answer to that is because my book is an Australian self-published work. (ISBN 0-9751147-0-0 2003)
Further evidence I have is in the parallels of both my work and hers i.e. the subject content, concepts, outline, terminology - it's almost word for word. I could go on!
However, I believe my work speaks very loudly for itself, and if anyone were to investigate it, they would probably draw the same conclusion. I therefore ask that you might investigate this matter for yourselves, and to this end, I am willing to send a copy of my book to you upon request.
